Iiiiiiiiiiiiiii felt like drawing Oliver. She's cute x3.
I think this is the first work I've been relatively happy with for a while, and strangely enough, it's not detailed or time consuming or anything. The colouring is a little flat (true to style!) but otherwise can't complain (I'll probably dislike it in a month though, haha). Need to stop getting lazy and draw backgrounds!
Ah, me neither xD! That's why I don't use photoshop for lineart, only for colouring .
But yeah, any version of Painter is good xD! For crisp lines I usually use the pen tool, then "fine line" or something, and then you can adjust the size from there. Although I did this one a little weirdly xD;. The original line-art for this particular drawing was actually done with the eraser tool, 'cause I made the canvas black !

I only just realised though, that because my monitor is darker than most people's, the colour I intended her hair to be isn't exactly the colour it turns out on most other people's monitors XD! I intended it to be fire-engine-red, but on a normal monitor it looks more like orange ;;...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
